Description

Commission carried out at l’Escamot SCCL by the URV Territorial Analysis and Tourism Studies Research Group (GRATET), within two projects directed by Dr. Aaron Gutiérrez (URV Geography Department).

The two projects are: ‘COVID-19 and mobility in tourist areas: changes in patterns and their effect on the physical and mental health of visitors and residents – COVMOVTUR’ (Funded by the Supera COVID-19 Fund – Santander Universities, CRUE Spanish Universities, CSIC) and ‘Effects of COVID-19 on the mobility of tourists in the Costa Daurada and Terres de l’Ebre – COVTUR-TGN’ (Funded by the Tarragona Provincial Council).

Beyond the research group’s own study and a first phase in which it was intended to know the perception and assessment of the perceived impact of COVID-19 on mobility flows in the territory by key technical agents, now -second phase-, it is intended to know the perception by activists and environmental and mobility entities. Specifically, in this new phase, GRATET commissions L’ESCAMOT SCCL to carry out two discussion groups with a selection of activists and representatives of environmental and mobility entities from the main case studies in order to delve deeper into the key aspects identified based on initial questionnaires.

The commission involves, at the direct proposal of GRATET and with the support of its members, the following phases to be developed by l’Escamot:

1. Design of focus groups.
2. Organization of focus groups.
3. Conducting focus groups.
4. Transcription of focus groups.
